At Sleep Easy, you do just that, to raise awareness and funds for homelessness in your community. We can’t promise you a comfortable night, but we can promise you an inspiring one.
When: Date to be confirmed
Time: 7pm – 7am
Entry: There’s a £10 registration fee which will be payable through our Eventbrite registration page.
Sponsorship: A Justgiving page will shared in due course for fundraising.
By taking part in Sleep Easy you will help raise vital funds and awareness to support the work of YMCA Essex – working with some of society’s most vulnerable people, helping them to realise their potential and supporting them on their journey from homelessness to independence.
Sleep Easy is a unique challenge – offering an insight into the challenge of sleeping rough and a chance for you to help change lives. You can take part by yourself or join a team with family, friends or work colleagues. The event takes place either on the grounds of Chelmsford Cathedral, at the Guy Harlings Garden, or you can choose a place of your own – perhaps on your own sofa or garden.
If participating for the full event isn’t for you, you can still support the event in other ways, such as helping to promote the event by sharing our posts online, sponsoring others that participate or volunteering an hour or two on the night. Whether you’re braving the night with us in Sleep Easy or simply wish to lend your support, your presence is invaluable.
The in-person gathering will include an evening meal and breakfast the following morning. By participating, you will directly aid our mission to support the vulnerable individuals in our community.
