Andy was appointed as our CEO in February 2015.
1. Tell us about yourself
A long time ago in a land far, far away I grew up by the sea and lived off barbecued food. I now live in England and am not near the sea but I do have roast dinners to compensate as well as scones, victoria sponge cake, and ale. And so, on balance, I feel that life is good.
2. What made you join us as a Trustee at YMCA Essex?
I applied to become CEO of YMCA Essex because I had been so well served by the YMCA when I was younger, and I wanted to give something back.
3. What are you really passionate about?
Cars, Sport, Social Justice, Games, Cinema, Food, and Food.
4. What are some of your favourite memories of your time with us?
I never get bored of hearing about the hopes and dreams young people and children have, and hoping with them that they turn out that way.
5. What are you looking forward to next?
There’s always a challenge around the corner, and I always say – bring it on!
